After an invitation from Coffs Harbour 'View Club' to present an informal talk for their members, Dr Alec McHarg had the pleasure of delivering a brief overview of strategies for Positive Aging Connections (PAC). March 2017.
The topics featured in his short Positive Aging Connections overview included a need, as one ages, to be aware of accessing a wide range of positive resources as a preventative measure. This is to avoid issues of frailty, by incorporating a disciplined, integrated activities and exercise regime, along with a suggested health-giving diet and regular access to sunlight. Avoiding issues concerning Dementia and Alzheimer’s and general loss of cognitive processing were also discussed. During his talk at the Coffs C.ex Club references were made to the secrets of aging gracefully with a strong sense of personal identity.
The term, ‘View’, which stands for, ‘Voice, Interests and Education of Women is one of Australia’s leading women’s volunteer organisations. As reported in Saturday’s March 25, 2017 edition of the Coffs Coast Advocate (page 14), under the heading, “It’s a VIEW to admire”.
“We are always looking for women from all backgrounds and ages (from 18 years), to join”, Lesley Carrol, local zone councillor, is reported as saying by the Coffs Coast Advocate.
